Benefits of Volunteering
Do you have green fingers, like being outdoors in the elements and want to support your local community? Perhaps you, or someone you know has experienced cancer? Offer your time and support to local people through the benefits of community gardening!
Support Your Community!
Physical Health
Roll up your sleeves and get digging! Community gardening offers a great way to stay active through activities such as weeding, planting and pruning. Done regularly, you'll enhance your strength, endurance, and flexibility while promoting overall fitness.

Mental Wellbeing
Connecting with nature is a powerful way to alleviate stress and anxiety. Community Gardening offers a relaxing experience, promoting calmness and fosters a positive mental state. We offer companionship to our beneficiaries over a shared cup of tea!

Social Interaction
Community gardening cultivates local neighbourhood connections, offering a wonderful opportunity to meet new likeminded friends. As you nurture plants and watch them grow, you’ll gain a sense of achievement and purpose that enriches your community experience.

Get Involved!
Whether you are an experienced gardener, or want to build your experience we will train you and connect you to beneficiaries within the community. We welcome everyone, all ages and experience.
Gardening Volunteer
Do you like being outdoors, immersed in nature and spending your time caring for plants (and people?) Gardening For Good offers light gardening support and maintenance 100% free of charge to individuals living with cancer. (We also service and maintain the gardens of individuals not living with cancer and this fee goes directly to charity, too). You don't need to have the gardening skills of Monty Don or Alan Titmarsh, or the horticultural knowledge of Carol Ann Klein... you need to be passionate about community and supporting individuals living with cancer. Offer your time and energy, to help enrich and improve the lives of people within your community. If you can offer 2-4 hours of your time, per month then please get in touch!

Operations Volunteer
Are you interested in supporting individuals living with cancer, and have a background in administration, operations or management? if so, we would love to hear from you! We are looking for Operations Volunteers, to help organise, manage and maintain a growing network of gardening volunteers. Offer your time and energy, to help enrich and improve the lives of people within your community. Please get in touch!
